ANU Open Day (English)

On August 25, we visited the Australian National University Open Day. I
was particularly interested in classical voice courses at the School of
Music http://www.anu.edu.au/music. But firstly, we listened to a women's
A Cappella-Jazz-quintet which was able to fascinate even Adi & Oli for 20
minutes (Very well done, "Sisterhood"-Girls!!!). Thereafter, we've just
heard the last few measures of the Gamelan-workshop (Indonesian music,
see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gamelan) and Adi was very sad that we
had missed this. But we'd quickly found a remedy through the huge
"Boom-boom-boom-lalala"-performance of the Samba group.
Then, we finally had a look into the opera-rehearsal for Mozart's Magic
Flute. I cannot say exactly, why, but what I saw and heard, although
objectively fine, did not encourage me to give it a try in this course.
